Drawing the Figure with Chris Alvarez

The human figure is the most beautiful complex entity we know. For this reason, artists have studied the human form since the beginning of human existence. In this class we will continue this important work. We will learn to simplify what we see so as to render the form quickly and accurately. Students will learn to work from the simple to the complex through the use of quick gestures and longer sustained studies. Interested students should first take a basic drawing class or have experience working from the figure.
